I forgot it was Opening Day today. While walking the dog on our usual trail, I noticed this guy standing in the middle of the creek with something wild -- clearly in the awesome category -- on the business end of his line. By the time we met up with him, he had this beautiful brown trout landed, had come ashore and was ready for presentation. I offered to snap a shot and email it to him, to which he immediately consented with a surprising amount of enthusiasm. "This is the biggest brown I have ever caught, thank you, thank you, thank you."
Heading to storage to get my gear now.
