Recently, here in the Stream Pool I reflected upon the concept of True Time -- the notion that we as a species are sitting on top of a massively underutilized resource that we are just beginning to recognize and discuss. In this brief clip of an insightful speech he gave last year, author Clay Shirky comes at the issue from a different angle he calls Cognitive Surplus with some stunning figures and inspiring possibilities.
